ETL 2 - Completed Pictures

Righty! Finally managed to finish everything that I vowed for ETL2.. and I thought I would have had all this completed ages ago.. but clearly not.. the Ravenwing Black Knights took ages as there is a phenomenal level of detail on the models.. Painting the Land Raider Crusader wasn't as tough as I thought it would be, and painting it in pieces and then assembling it was a brilliant move. Eventually I will learn how to get the whole thing put together without any ropey gaps..

I also screwed up the math in the previous post. I was off 20 points on the Land Speeder Vengeance.

ETL 2 - First Vow - Works in Progress

So I've folded to a new painting contest. I shall be doing ETL 2 at bolterandchainsword.com. My first vow is as follows:
1 5 man unit of Deathwing Knights with Perfidious Relic of the Unforgiven - 245 points
1 Land Raider Crusader with Multi-Melta & Hunter Killer Missile & Deathwing Vehicle Upgrade - 300 points
1 Drop Pod Transport with Deathwind Missile Launcher - 50 points
1 Belial - 190 points
1 Ravenwing Landspeeder with Multi Melta - 70 points
1 Ravenwing Landspeeder Vengeance with Assault Cannon - 140 points
1 6 man unit of Ravenwing Black Knights including Melta Bombs and a Power Weapon for the Huntmaster - 269 points
This gives a total of 1264 points for the first vow.

Really thought I'd bitten off more than I could chew with a complete Ravenwing Squadron and a Dark Talon, but with a few evenings of feverish painting, I've been able to get a lot done. 6 bikes are done, the attack bike just needs 1 more coat on the base and it is done and the Dark Talon just needs the engines and the underside finishing off.. Whoop!

Army Pictures and Dark Talon WIP shots..

So I splurged a little on some of the new Dark Angel options out there.. I've revamped my project list to include the Ravenwing Black Knights and the Command Squadrons and I've had a look at the boxes.. There is going to be a lot of work needed to get these painted up well, but I'm looking forward to it. To help me out with painting another Ravenwing Assault Squadron I'm also planning to paint up a Dark Talon fighter craft. The model looks awesome and aside from a few dilemmas over what I should do with the canopy so that you can see I've painted the interior of the cockpit I'm almost ready to start a base coat.

To that end I've got a few WIP shots of the Dark Talon and a few overall army pictures of everything I've been painting for the Path to Redemption. I'm optimistic about the project!
